Many consultancies describe their client relationships in terms of a 'partnership'. At Ashridge Consulting this means creating and maintaining a long-term relationship with our client organisations. We seek to establish a supportive and stimulating relationship that builds openness and trust.

The purchaser/supplier model has proved to be extremely limiting when applied to work that aims to make real and sustainable change. Instead our focus is on understanding each organisation and its unique culture, working together with our client partners to create innovative ways to develop managers and leaders and enable organisational change.

With some of our clients we have taken the concept of partnering further and developed a specific way of working with a team of internal consultants, HR/OD managers or business managers to jointly design and deliver consultancy projects and assignments. This different way of partnering enables a real transfer of knowledge and organisation capacity building, developing the skills of consulting, coaching and facilitation and supporting change across the organisation.
